Grief and Loss

Painful feelings resulting from grief and loss can be debiltating, haunting and preventing you from moving forward and growing. Humans have a need to grow. When this is stunted, we feel as if something is wrong. Humans also have the need to feel safe and have a sense of control in their lives. When we lose something or someone we have grown attached to, those feelings of safety and control are threatened.

  • Are you having difficulty falling asleep or maintaining sleep?
  • Have you noticed changes in your appetite?
  • Does your loss seem to be the last thing on you mind before you go to sleep at night and the first thing on your mind when you wake up?
